Former RDB defender Omar Colley this afternoon visited the offices of the club and presented a set of branded jerseys to club president William Abraham. Colley who’s on holiday after an impressive debut season with Italian Serie A side Sampdoria stormed the offices of the club to show appreciation to his former club. “I’m very happy to receive OJ this afternoon after his excellent season in Italy with Sampdoria – he has continued to be a great ambassador of RDB,” Willy told the club site. “Since his transfer from RDB to KuPS he has been on the rise and we all pray he continues to improve and move to a bigger club,” Willy added. The 26 year-old won the 2011/12 Gambia Football Federation League with Real De Banjul after leaving arch rivals Wallidan FC. During his one season the 2009 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations winner stole the hearts of the fans of the club with his solid performances thus earning a move to Finnish side KuPS. Omar ragged up 21 appearances for Sampdoria last season and has been named assistant captain of the Gambia senior national team, the Scorpions.
