Real de Banjul FC has reached an agreement with Moroccan giants FUS Rabat for the transfer of wonder kid Pa Modou Sohna. Our youth team graduate was last week in the Moroccan capital to undergo medical examinations before joining them at the end of the current Gambian season. “We’ve reached an agreement with FUS Rabat for the transfer of our player Pa Modou Sohna,” said club president William Abraham. The 18 year old will be playing for the Whites who will be going to the last league match against Marimoo still with a chance of winning the title. “Pa Modou Sohna will pen a four year deal with FUS Rabat in July after the end of our season,” Abraham added. Our mesmerizing, diminutive playmaker has been the star performer this season scoring ten times including a quadruple against PSV Wellingara in the league. “I’m pleased to be joining FUS Rabat at the end of our (Gambian) season,” the soft spoken boy told the club website. “I’ve been at RDB for my entire career and it is really sad that am leaving but it is for an exciting challenge of playing professional football at a very good club and in a competitive league.” “I will be the third RDB player to join FUS Rabat and I look forward to joining my new team mates but my immediate focus is to try and finish the season with an accolade for my beloved Real De Banjul.” Sohna who many neutrals refer to as Dybala or Messi found the net in our 3-0 dropping of our arch rivals Wallidan. He was also on the score sheet against Samger and scored the winner against BK Milan of Bakau. He has three Football Federation Cup goals when he scored a hat trick against second tier side Gunjur United in the last 32 of the tournament. Everyone at the club wishes Pa Modou Sohna the very best with FUS Rabat.
