Real de Banjul is set to receive a strong four-man delegation from Estonian partner club Paide Linnameeskond on Sunday.

Paide’s President Veiko Veskimäe, CEO Jaanus Pruuli, Sports Director Gert Kams and Fitness Trainer/Coach Raiko Karpov are all due in the Gambia for a nine-day stay where they’ll be involved in some scouting mission, coaching sessions and training with Real de Banjul players at the Live Your Dream Sports Academy in Basori.

Real de Banjul Club President William Abraham is once again delighted to be receiving the Paide delegation and welcomes the Premium Liiga side’s visit.

“They (Paide Linnameeskond) will be here for nine days. They will watch our training, their Sporting Director and the coach will also help in our training sessions and try to develop the players during their stay,” President Abraham said.

“At the same time, they will use this opportunity to scout players to take to Estonia where they will continue to develop them like what they did with Alassana Jatta who’s now playing in Denmark with Viborg FF and Muhammed Sanneh in Czech Republic with Baník Ostrava.”

Our Club President revealed that Paide’s visit is part of the agreement the two clubs agreed upon when they signed the partnership during their last visit to the country in June.

“They are here to continue to do the good work and understanding we have with them. Part of our partnership with them is to also take our coaches and train them to a more professional level but unfortunately because of COVID, that is difficult to do as it’s hard to get visas and that’s why they are coming with technical people who will also be involved on the pitch with our coaches and players.”

The City Boys recently concluded a three-day trial that involved a lot of players scouted from across the country, something the President says is good as it will give the Paide delegation the chance to see a lot of talented players that will hopefully catch their eyes.
