Real de Banjul is biggest exporter of talent in Gambia

Real de Banjul is pleased to announce it has been listed as the number one club and biggest exporter of football players in the Gambia with the highest transfer of outgoing players in the last decade.
This was published by world football governing body, FIFA, who researched into the transfer dealings of clubs in every confederation over the past decade (10 years).
The FIFA report says Real de Banjul have the highest number of outgoing transfers having sold a total of 33 players outside the shores of the Gambia the last ten years, more than any other club in the country.
The report places the City Boys at 12 out of 30 clubs in Africa ahead of Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Zamalek, both of Egypt, Mohammed VI Football Academy (AMF) of Morocco, Club Africain of Tunisia, Berekum Chelsea FC and Asante Kotoko of Ghana amongst others.
Inter Allies FC (Ghana), Wadi Degla (Egypt), Diambars FC (Senegal), West African Football Academy FC (Ghana), ASEC MIMOSAS (Côte d’Ivoire), Dreams FC (Ghana), ES Sahel (Tunisia), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), LM de Maputo (Mozambique), RIGHT TO DREAM FC (Ghana) and Liberty Professional Football Club (Ghana) are the only clubs above Real de Banjul on the ranking.
“This is a ground-breaking achievement for us as a football club. It shows our good work that we have been doing since our establishment as a Club. This goes to show we are the biggest and the best club in the country which is why players always want to play for us as they know it’s through us they can become professional football players,” Club President, William Abraham said.

Notable among the 33 players that Real de Banjul have sold include Sampdoria defender Omar Colley (to Kuopion Palloseura in Finland), Boavista forward Yusupha Njie (to FUS Rabat in Morocco), Ajman forward Bubacarr Trawally (to Hangzhou Greentown FC in China), MOL Fehérvár forward Lamin Jallow (to Chievo Verona in Italy), RSC Anderlecht defender Bubacarr Sanneh, James Gomez [current] and Famara Jarju (all to AC Horsens in Denmark).
Forwards Yankuba Jarju (SO Cholet), Muhammed Badamosi (KV Kortrijk), Ablie Jallow (RFC Seraing), Dembo Darboe (Shakhtjor Soligorsk), Alieu Fadera (SV Zulte Waregem), Alassana Jatta (Viborg FF) amongst many others have also all been part of players that Real de Banjul have sold over the last decade.
President Abraham added: “We couldn’t have done this alone and that’s why it’s important to thank our partners and all the clubs we’ve worked and done business with. We established good relationships based on trust with them which in this modern day and time is difficult to have but our reputation as the Executive and as a Club, speaks for itself!”
Over the past ten years, Real de Banjul has sold players to Spain, USA, Finland, Morocco, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, China, Sweden, Slovakia, Armenia, Kenya, South Africa, Liberia and Senegal.
