Estonian top tier side Paide Linnameeskond has activated their rights to sign Real de Banjul and Gambia youth international Muhammed Sanneh on a permanent basis one year into his initial two year loan move. Muhammed joined Paide in January 2019 on a two-year loan with the option of a permanent deal. He made his debut in the 2-0 victory over Kalju following that up with 32 league appearances helping his team to a fourth place finish. “We hope that this season Muhammad will take one more step forward in his development and move from Premium League to bigger clubs,” said Paide’s Sporting director. The 19 year old defender was one of the standout performers in the Paide Linnameeskond defense last season and he was named in the team of the week on several occasions. “He is one the best defenders out there and we’re not surprised Paide have decided to make the loan move permanent,” said Real de Banjul president William Abraham. The Young Scorpions international has had some time training with Danish club Aalborg this winter before winning bronze with the Gambia U-20 at the WAFU A tournament in Guinea. Everyone at Real de Banjul wishes Muhammed Sanneh the very best at Paide and his career.

AC Horsens have completed the signing of Real de Banjul FC defender James Gomez on loan until the end of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent. The 18-year-old completed the move on Monday 20 January in the presence of RDB president William Abraham in Horsens. “James Gomez made a good impression when he trained with us, but we couldn’t make an appointment (sign) with him at the time when he was only 17 years old.” “It is somewhat reminiscent of the case with Bubacarr Sanneh, where we could see the potential and rented him with the right of option, after which we bought him, but we do not expect James Gomez to break through from day one.” “He needs time to develop, and now we have the opportunity to see him in our environment for the next six months,” says AC Horsens coach Bo Henriksen. The talented defender was a main fixture in the RDB defense over the last two seasons thus earning him a lot praise from pundits who tipped him for the European market. The CEO of Modoustic PR was full of praise for his client after completing the protracted move. “He is a good player, skilful, talented and humble, we just need to work and take the next step. He is one of the best defenders amongst his age.” “Top top talent, the idea is to do the same thing as Horsens did to Buba, you could see with Buba they gave him a chance to develop,” explained Modoustic PR CEO Modou Lamin Beyai. His aerial prowess and ability to read the game earned him a place in the Gambia’s U-20 and Local national teams. He was in the successful 2o18 Gambia U-20 squad that conquered the WAFU A region in Liberia. He made the squad for last year’s WAFU Cup of Nations in Thies, Senegal helping the Scorpions reach the last four in the Plate competition. Gomez is expected to play some part in Horsens’ friendly against Aarhus on Tuesday, January 21 at 5 pm.
